Placements24 is seeking a Regional Operations Lead to oversee logistics and distribution in Tembisa, Gauteng. This role leads warehouse operations, manages daily transport, and drives supply chain excellence to ensure timely deliveries and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in SCM or related field, 5–7 years of logistics leadership, strong data analysis and ERP experience, and proven team management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in logistics and distribution management.
• Proven experience in managing warehouse operations and transportation logistics.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in logistics management software and ERP systems.
• Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Tembisa or the surrounding Gauteng area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize daily logistics and distribution operations, including warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
• Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics coordinators, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards within the distribution center.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement effective inventory control measures.
• Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Analyze operational performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Manage operational budgets and control expenses within allocated limits.
