Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Regional Sanitation Supervisor to oversee cleaning operations across George and surrounding areas in the Western Cape. This hybrid role combines on-site supervision with remote administration, focusing on hygiene, safety, and staff management to maintain high service quality.

You will supervise cleaning teams, conduct inspections, train staff, and liaise with clients to meet sanitation needs. A proactive attitude and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within cleaning or sanitation.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment and sanitation best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily cleaning and sanitation activities at various client sites.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene standards, safety regulations, and client-specific requirements.
• Train, schedule, and manage cleaning staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper equipment maintenance.
• Investigate and resolve any sanitation-related issues or complaints from clients or staff promptly.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on operational performance, staff activities, and site conditions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new sanitation strategies and training programs.
• Liaise with clients to ensure their sanitation needs are being met and to build strong working relationships.
