Job summary

SA Metal Group in Gauteng is seeking a Regional Finance Manager to support the Finance Director and oversee the Gauteng Finance Department. This role requires hands-on management of accounting, controls, and reporting, with leadership of the local finance team in a high-pressure environment.

You will oversee policy development, ensure compliance, and drive continuous process improvements while maintaining strong stakeholder collaboration. This is a full-time, on-site position in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years work experience in a managerial finance and administration position.
• Experience using ACCPAC is an added advantage.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the full accounting function in the Gauteng region.
• Manage, develop, mentor and lead the finance team for the Gauteng region.
• Review the work performed by the finance team to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee policies, procedures and regular assessments of financial procedures.
• Review financial data for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• Authorize and review payments for creditors, expenses and COD.
• Perform financial analysis and reporting; implement and maintain financial controls.

SA Metal is looking for a Regional Finance Manager's, primary purpose is to provide support to the Finance Director in
managing and overseeing the Gauteng Finance Department. He/she will also have to:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Supervise and manage the full accounting function in the Gauteng region
• Manage, develop, mentor and lead the finance team for the Gauteng region
• Review the work performed by the finance team to ensure that the accounting functions are performed accurately and timeously and in accordance with defined processes and legislative requirements.
• Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, procedures and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures
• Review financial data for accuracy, correctness and completeness
• Authorise, oversee and review payments for creditors, expenses and COD, on a daily basis
• Perform financial analysis and reporting
• Implement and maintain financial controls

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of 10 years work experience in a managerial finance and administration position
• Experience in using ACCPAC is an added advantage
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office - Advanced Excel knowledge
