Job summary

SA Metal is seeking a Regional Finance Manager to support the Finance Director in overseeing the Gauteng finance function. The role requires hands-on leadership, rigorous financial control, and the ability to operate under pressure in a demanding environment.

In this position you will supervise the full accounting function for Gauteng, mentor the finance team, review processes for accuracy and compliance, and deliver timely financial reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

• Degree or accounting diploma is required.
• Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in finance.
• Experience with ACCPAC is advantageous.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency expected.

SA Metal is looking for a Regional Finance Manager’s, primary purpose is to provide support to the Finance Director in managing and overseeing the Gauteng Finance Department. He/she will also have to:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Supervise and manage the full accounting function in the Gauteng region

• Manage, develop, mentor and lead the finance team for the Gauteng region

• Review the work performed by the finance team to ensure that the accounting functions are performed accurately and timeously and in accordance with defined processes and legislative requirements.

• Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, procedures and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures

• Review financial data for accuracy, correctness and completeness

• Authorise, oversee and review payments for creditors, expenses and COD, on a daily basis

• Perform financial analysis and reporting

• Implement and maintain financial controls

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE

• Relevant degree or Accounting Diploma qualification

• A minimum of 10 years work experience in a managerial finance and administration position

• Experience in using ACCPAC is an added advantage

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office – Advanced Excel knowledge
