Hired Recruitment (Pty) Ltd has a vacancy in Pinetown for a Refrigeration Technician / Driver. The role combines hands-on refrigeration repair, preventative maintenance, warehouse support and delivery duties.

The successful candidate will travel to customer sites, perform installations and service calls, and contribute to stock control and warehouse operations. The position requires a Grade 12, a valid SA driver's licence, experience in refrigeration fault-finding, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• Valid South African driver's licence is required.
• Experience as Refrigeration Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Experience with refrigeration fault-finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Previous driving and delivery experience.
• Gas handling knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain refrigeration and beverage dispensing equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and sanitisation of equipment.
• Inspect equipment before dispatch to customer sites.
• Deliver and collect refrigeration units, dispensing equipment, glassware, stock and other items.
• Safely transport equipment between customer sites and company premises.
• Assist with warehouse operations, stock control and stock counts.
• Maintain vehicle stock levels and request parts as needed.
• Complete job cards, delivery notes and service documentation accurately and on time.
• Deliver professional customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
• Ensure company vehicles, tools and equipment are kept clean and in good condition.
• Assist with general warehouse and operational duties as required.

Salary: R12 000 – R15 000 CTC per month

This role combines technical repairs, preventative maintenance, warehouse support and deliveries, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working both in the field and in a warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain refrigeration and beverage dispensing equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and sanitisation of equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Valid South African driver's licence.
• Previous experience as a Refrigeration Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Experience with refrigeration fault‑finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Previous driving and delivery experience.
• Safe Gas Handling Licence will be advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
