Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Warehouse Receiving & Dispatch Lead for our client’s Paarl, Western Cape facility. The role oversees inbound/outbound goods, supervises a team, and ensures accurate receiving, staging, and dispatch in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a supervisory warehouse role, strong inventory knowledge, and solid leadership and WMS skills. This position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and team development within a busy operation.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role in warehouse receiving/dispatch.
• Strong inventory management and warehouse process knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and observe safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all activities in the receiving and dispatch areas.
• Ensure accurate unloading, inspection, and recording of incoming goods.
• Oversee staging and preparation of outgoing shipments.
• Manage and develop the warehouse team with coaching and feedback.
• Maintain safe, organized working conditions in receiving and dispatch zones.
• Verify documentation for shipments against system records.
• Resolve discrepancies related to receiving and dispatch.
• Collaborate with inventory control and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Enforce company policies and safety regulations.
