Journey, a Multidimensional Experience Agency in Cape Town, seeks a Real-Time Unreal Artist for built environments. You will craft interactive, walkthrough-ready worlds that go beyond static arch- viz, enabling stakeholders to navigate spaces before construction.

The role emphasizes collaboration with artists, producers, and leads to optimize workflows, develop immersive environments, and deliver high-fidelity real-time assets with photoreal materials and lighting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in real-time 3D environments.
• Architectural visualization or game environment art background.
• Strong understanding of architectural scale and construction details.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team of artists, producers, and leads to improve processes and solve production challenges.
• Build built environment contexts (people, vehicles, urban scenes, sound, vegetation).
• Create real-time assets optimized for real-time experiences.
• Import/cleanup geometry from Revit, Rhino, or 3ds Max using pipelines.
• Implement LODs, nanite geometry, and texture atlasing for 60+ FPS on PC/VR/Pixel Streaming.
• Master lighting with Lumen and ray-tracing for accurate sun studies and interiors.
• Create high-quality PBR materials for glass, concrete, wood, and metal.
