Job summary

Barloworld Equipment (Pty) Ltd in Polokwane invites an experienced Artisan to drive product health improvements and support new product introductions within the area of responsibility. You will identify issues, present findings to management and compile detailed reports for service engineering and leadership.

The role requires a recognized Artisan trade, strong troubleshooting and training abilities, interpersonal skills, and proficiency with MS Office and service technician tools; familiarity

Qualifications

• Qualified Artisan with at least 5 years post-apprentice experience in diesel or earthmoving equipment.
• Demonstrated practical and theoretical training skills.
• Familiar with service technician workbench and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Improve product health for all area products.
• Support for new product introduction.
• Present product issues to management.
• Compile informative product issue reports for service engineering and management.
• Provide expert technical support for warranty resolution and 1-hour training sessions.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Qualified Artisan. [Mechanic in relevant trade (e.g. Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) with minimum 5 years post-apprentice/learnership experience]
• Demonstrated practical and theoretical training skills
• Sound interpersonal relationship skills
• Computer literate (MS Office & SIS ET)
• Trouble shooting, problem solving and failure analysis skills
• Applicable product knowledge
• Familiar with the use of service technician workbench
