Job summary

BHBW SA (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified Tractor Mechanic to service and repair agriculture machinery. The role requires attention to warranty processes, accurate job documentation and mentoring of apprentices.

You will work under the Workshop Foreman/Senior Technician and maintain high safety standards on site. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years experience in tractor repair, strong technical knowledge of agricultural equipment and excellent communication skills to operate across

Qualifications

• Qualified Tractor Mechanic with relevant trade certification.
• Experience repairing and servicing farming tractors and equipment.
• Strong focus on safety, quality workmanship and fault analysis.

Responsibilities

Job description

Purpose of the Role

Perform planned services on Agriculture machinery and components to supplier standards and customer requirements

Key Performance Areas

• Ensure the most effective use of available time and equipment
• Service and support all equipment as instructed by the Workshop Foreman/Senior Technician
• Ensure that all the warranty processes and conditions are adhered to
• Ensure all required information on each job card for each job is properly maintained and that failure analysis and reporting is of a professional standard
• Provide mentorship to apprentices assigned to you
• Maintain a safe working environment (according to safety policy and procedures)
• Achieve individual balanced scorecard and KPIs
• Effective self-management and performance ownership
• Adherence to any reasonable instruction
