Job summary

b3 jobs ltd is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the Low-Risk production team in a food manufacturing environment. You will ensure staff are trained, resourced and working safely while meeting production, efficiency and quality targets.

Responsibilities include stock control, team supervision, achieving weekly targets, maintaining traceability, addressing quality complaints with the Technical team, upholding hygiene standards, and supporting the team with manufacturing activities as needed.

About the Production Supervisor job

The purpose of your role will be to supervise the Low-Risk production team, ensuring staff are properly trained, resourced and working safely while meeting production, efficiency and quality targets.

Key tasks

• Carry out regular stock takes and ensure stock levels are accurately recorded.
• Supervise the Low-Risk production team, ensuring employees are appropriately resourced, trained and motivated to produce safe, high-quality products.
• Ensure weekly production and efficiency targets are achieved while maintaining the required quality standards.
• Oversee and verify the completion of accurate production paperwork, ensuring all products are fully traceable.
• Monitor customer quality complaints in collaboration with the Technical team and other departments, identifying improvements and implementing changes where required.
• Work closely with the Technical team and Production Managers to ensure company hygiene standards are consistently maintained.
• Support the production team with manufacturing activities when required.

About You

The successful candidate shall have experience of working in the manufacturing of food products and could suit a person stepping into a leadership role from a production level position.

Excellent working knowledge of food production machinery, processes and equipment.

Sound understanding of food hygiene, HACCP trained and ideally an understanding of the BRCGS standards.

The Production Supervisor job (ref:9099 is paying between £35,000 - £37,000 according to your experience.

The working hours are 5.30am to 2:00pm.

The site is in the North West England and is commutable from Manchester, Wigan, Leigh, Bury, Chorley, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Preston and surrounding areas.
