Job summary

Westray Recruitment Consultants is seeking a Production Operator for a growing specialist manufacturer in the life sciences sector. You will join a clean room manufacturing team, following strict procedures to produce, package and prepare products to the highest standards.

Working in a regulated environment, you will operate machinery safely, complete batch records, perform routine quality checks and help meet daily targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in production environments aligned with GMP/quality standards.
• Ability to follow strict procedures and quality standards.
• Familiar with GMP contamination-control practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate production and manufacturing machinery safely.
• Assemble, pack and label products for dispatch.
• Complete production paperwork, batch records and quality documentation accurately.
• Carry out routine quality checks and inspections throughout the production process.
• Identify and report any defects, faults or deviations to the supervisor.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping within the production area.

The Role

As a Production Operator, you will work as part of the manufacturing team, helping to produce, package and prepare specialist products to the highest standards.

Working within a clean room environment, you will be required to follow strict procedures and quality standards throughout the production process.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating production and manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out manufacturing activities in accordance with company procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements.
• Assembling, packing and labelling products ready for dispatch.
• Completing production paperwork, batch records and quality documentation accurately.
• Carrying out routine quality checks and inspections throughout the production process.
• Identifying and reporting any defects, faults or deviations to the relevant supervisor.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping within the production area.
• Following strict hygiene, contamination-control and GMP procedures.
• Working towards daily production targets while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Safely handling raw materials, components and finished products.
• Carrying out basic troubleshooting and escalating machinery issues when required.
• Working effectively as part of a team to meet production deadlines
