Job summary

Bidvest Protea Coin is seeking a security professional for emergency response and armed escort duties in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The role involves handling valuable cargo escort and enforcing security policies on site.

Applicants must pass an 80% Reaction Level shoot exercise and an 80% qualifying written test, hold PSIRA Grade A, a valid C1 license, firearm certificates, and a clean record. Shift work is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Emergency response duties and armed escort for valuable cargo.
• Maintain security policies, protocols, and site procedures.
• Pass the Reaction Level qualification shoot exercise and written tests with 80% pass marks.

Job description

Emergency response and armed escort duties. Valuable Cargo Escort Duties. Must have experience in maintaining security policies, protocols and procedures Must be able to pass a Reaction Level qualification shoot exercise and achieve 80% pass mark. Must be able to pass a written qualification test pertaining to the applied position and achieve 80% pass mark. Must have knowledge of the Criminal Procedure Act 51/1977 as well as the Firearms Control Act 60/2000. Must have experience in maintaining security policies, protocols and procedures

Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:

• Must have Grade 12 school certificate.
• Be PSIRA Grade "A" registered with proof of certification.
• Be in possession of a Valid South African Drivers C1 for this position.
• Must have Accredited Firearm Training Certificates.
• Be in possession of Business purposes Firearm Certificates.
• Must have Statement of Results Certificate.
• Be in possession of a valid SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate
• Have a clean disciplinary and criminal record.
