Job summary

Emalahleni Express Employment Professionals (VAAL) is seeking a Reach Truck Operator to handle pallets and stock in a warehouse setting in Mpumalanga. The role requires safe operation of reach trucks, accurate receiving, storage, and inventory checks, and adherence to health and safety standards.

You will participate in stock rotation (FIFO), daily pre-operation inspections, and assist with peak-period picking, packing, loading, and unloading.

• Accurately receive, locate, and store incoming goods.
• Assist with stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
• Verify stock quantities and report discrepancies immediately.
• Rotate stock according to FIFO principles where applicable.
• Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of the reach truck and report defects.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse aisles, storage locations, and work areas.
• Ensure pallets and stock are securely stored and stacked safely.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures and warehouse operating standards.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Report accidents, incidents, hazards, and equipment faults promptly.
• Support a culture of safe work practices throughout the warehouse.
• Assist with picking, packing, loading, and unloading activities when required.
• Support warehouse and retail operations during peak periods.
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management.
