Job summary

Alstom in South Africa is seeking a Systems Analyst to participate in system definition, sizing, and MBSE-based railway system analysis. You will write system specifications and support stakeholder approvals, coordinating interfaces across subsystems and with clients.

The role requires a degree in engineering, 5+ years in engineering/technical roles including railway projects, strong English, and excellent coordination.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements
• At least 5 years of experience in Engineering / Technical functions including 3 years in Railway projects
• A good level of English and contract Language
• Knowledge of the rail environment and engineering practices
• Good co-ordination and communication

Responsibilities

• Participate in system definition and system sizing
• Participate in railway system analysis through a MBSE approach
• Write system specifications and have them approved by all stakeholders
• Participate in system sizing by gathering track, power supply, signalling and rolling stock data and support performance optimisation
• Participate in requirement analysis and development; participate in change analysis
• Produce or update Interfaces documents in coordination with subsystems and obtain client approval
