Job summary

Virago Recruitment is recruiting an RAF Attorney to join a Sandton-based defendant RAF practice. The successful candidate will handle RAF matters from instruction to settlement or trial, with a strong focus on drafting, advocacy and negotiation.

The role requires 3–5 years post-admission experience in RAF litigation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• LLB degree.
• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• 3–5 years post-admission experience (PAE).
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in RAF litigation.
• Essential: Proven experience acting for the Defendant in RAF matters.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of RAF legislation, regulations and litigation procedures.
• Experience managing matters from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.
• Excellent legal drafting, research and analytical skills.
• Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume litigation caseload.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.

RAF Attorney – Defendant PracticeLocation: Sandton

Our client is seeking an experienced and driven RAF Attorney to join their legal team in Sandton. The successful candidate must have strong experience in Road Accident Fund litigation, specifically acting on behalf of the Defendant. This is a specialist role requiring a solid understanding of RAF litigation procedures, strong drafting skills and the ability to independently manage a litigation practice.

Minimum Requirements
