Job summary

Epiroc in Johannesburg, Aeroton, SA, is seeking an ambitious R&D Test Engineer to drive product innovation through testing programs and data analysis. You will collaborate with Product Development, Sales and Marketing to translate technical insights into differentiated solutions.

You will manage lab activities, develop testing methodologies, and produce technical reports and specifications, enabling fast, reliable product validation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree advantageous.
• Proficient in 2D/3D CAD modelling and data analysis.
• LabVIEW and VBA for Excel are desirable tools for testing.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead operation of the RGU Application Centre and lab testing.
• Develop, implement, and optimise testing methodologies.
• Manage testing programmes, equipment and resources.
• Analyse geotechnical and material data to derive insights.
• Produce technical reports and product specifications.
• Support product development through CAD modelling and testing.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Sales and Marketing.
• Foster continuous improvement and technical excellence.
