Job summary

Epiroc invites applications for a Quality Technician based in Centurion, Pretoria. You will support and maintain quality across the manufacturing lifecycle of our electronic Collision Avoidance Systems, ensuring reliability, safety and customer satisfaction while contributing to the Quality Management System.

You will perform inspections, manage NCRs, maintain records, participate in audits, and work with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain to drive defect reduction and process

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) is required.
• Diploma or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming, in-process and final quality inspections using approved testing methods.
• Identify and manage non-conformances including NCRs, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain quality records and support ISO 9001 and QMS requirements.
• Participate in internal, product and process audits.
• Monitor quality performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Technical teams; support supplier quality activities.

Mission of the Role

Join us as a Quality Technician where you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining product and process quality throughout the manufacturing lifecycle of our electronic Collision Avoidance Systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product reliability, safety, compliance and customer satisfaction while supporting the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.

Your Mission

• Conducting incoming, in-process and final quality inspections using approved testing and inspection methods.


• Identifying and managing non-conformances, including NCRs, root cause investigations and corrective actions.


• Maintaining quality records and documentation and supporting ISO 9001 and Quality Management System requirements.


• Participating in internal, product and process audits.


• Monitoring quality performance and supporting continuous improvement and defect reduction initiatives.


• Collaborating with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Technical teams, as well as supporting supplier quality activities.

Your Profile

• Grade 12 (Matric).


• National Diploma, Diploma, Certificate or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing or a related technical field.


• Minimum 2 years' experience in electronics manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance or a related technical environment.


• Experience using electronic testing, inspection and measuring equipment.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
