Job summary

Epiroc in Centurion, Pretoria invites applications for a Junior Electronic Design Engineer to support the design, development, testing and maintenance of electronic systems and components, under guidance from senior engineers.

You will assist with schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, lab testing, documentation and iterative improvements, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, software, computer engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience or internships.
• Exposure to lab testing equipment is advantageous.

• Conduct testing, debugging, validation, and compliance testing under supervision.
• Participate in prototype assembly, troubleshooting, and iterative improvements.

• Maintain and organise lab equipment, tools, and work areas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, mechanical, production)
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in design processes.

• Exposure to lab testing and measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters) is advantageous.
