Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Cryptocurrency Trader for our client in Vereeniging, Gauteng. This on-site role focuses on developing and implementing quantitative trading strategies across crypto markets, managing risk, and executing trades with exchanges.

The ideal candidate has a background in quantitative finance, data science, or algorithmic trading, proficiency in Python, C++, or R, and experience with Pandas and NumPy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field.
• Proven experience in quantitative, algorithmic, or cryptocurrency trading.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or R for data analysis and strategy development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement quantitative trading strategies for cryptocurrencies.
• Analyze market data, identify trading opportunities, and manage execution risk.
• Build and maintain relationships with cryptocurrency exchanges and liquidity providers.
• Monitor trading systems and P&L in real-time, making necessary adjustments.
• Conduct research into new trading algorithms, financial instruments, and market dynamics.
• Collaborate with developers and researchers to enhance trading infrastructure and tools.
• Manage portfolio risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stay informed about market trends, news, and events impacting cryptocurrency prices.
• Optimize trading algorithms for performance and efficiency.
