Job summary

Forvia in Pretoria is seeking a YES Quality Graduate to assist in ensuring that all actions in the Plant comply with FES requirements, under the guidance of the Quality Engineer. The 12-month fixed-term contract provides exposure to customer requirements, quality processes, and continuous improvement initiatives in an automotive manufacturing setting.

You will support the quality team in monitoring control plans, managing new projects and change submissions, and ensuring safety and regulatory

Qualifications

  • Education and experience in industrial engineering or quality sciences.
  • At least 1 year in automotive quality department.
  • Solid knowledge of quality management systems in production.
  • Process oriented with strong customer-relations skills.
  • Proficient in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

  • Represent customer requirements internally.
  • Assist with achieving Plant Quality objectives and monitor progress.
  • Manage New projects and Engineering change submissions to the customer.
  • Monitor adherence of activities to the control plan and standard work instructions, initiate corrections if necessary.
  • Active participation in QRQC activity.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety/regulation standards.

  • Interrupt the manufacturing or the delivery of products when Quality is not assured.
  • Authorised to stop the line when not meeting the quality standards.

Your Mission, Roles And Responsibilities

Job title: YES Quality Graduate

Reporting to: Quality Engineer

Contract: 12 months(FTC)

Main purpose of the role

The Quality Graduate is responsible to assist in ensuring that all actions in the Plant comply with the requirements of the FES, and to do so considering customer, Quality, Division, Business Group and Corporate guidelines.

Essential Responsibilities And Duties

As a Quality Graduate, your main responsibilities are as follow:

  • Represent customer requirements internally.
  • Assist with the achievement of Plant Quality objectives and monitor progress
  • Manage New project and Engineer change submissions to the customer.
  • Monitor adherence of activities to the control plan and standard work instructions, initiate corrections if necessary.
  • Active participation in QRQC activity.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety/regulation standards
  • Compilation of Quality results and maintainence of Quality records/documentation.
  • Preparation of documentation and customer feedback on quality problems/complaints.

Your profile and competencies to succeed
Qualifications And Position Requirements
  • Education: National Diploma, Degree or equivalent qualification in Industrial engineering/ quality sciences.
  • Knowledge and experience :
  • Established decisive team player
  • Atleast 1 year experience in the Automotive industry in the quality department
  • Solid knowledge of Quality management systems in production
  • Process orientated with exceptional customer relationship experience
  • Languages: Proven oral and written communication skills with english and computer literate
