About the Role

Our client, a global leader in specialized manufacturing, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Engineer to lead their Quality Systems and Compliance initiatives. This is a critical, fully remote role focused on developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality management systems that ensure adherence to international standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with ISO and other relevant international standards, impacting operations globally, including those in Rustenburg, North West, ZA .
• Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes of non-conformance, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality improvement tools.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to embed quality into all processes.
• Train and mentor team members and stakeholders on quality systems, tools, and best practices.
• Stay updated on evolving regulatory requirements and industry standards related to quality and compliance.
• Manage supplier quality programs and conduct supplier audits as necessary.
• Report on key quality performance indicators to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A Master's degree is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering with a strong focus on quality management systems and compliance.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing ISO 9001 or other relevant QMS standards.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt/Master Black Belt is strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis techniques, and CAPA methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote interaction and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and lead teams in a fully remote setting.
• Experience with quality management software and tools.
• Self-directed, with strong organizational and time management abilities.
