Job summary

VRH Power is seeking a Quality Officer to support renewable energy and construction projects. The role requires strong knowledge of quality systems, documentation, method statements, and compliance, with the ability to manage timelines on complex onsite projects.

You will participate in inspections, maintain quality records, manage NCRs, and coordinate with subcontractors and clients to ensure quality expectations are met. A diploma background in engineering and quality discipline is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience with quality management systems and ISO9001
  • Ability to prepare and verify ITPs, method statements and drawings
  • Knowledge of NCRs, corrective actions and root cause analysis
  • Proficiency in site quality documentation and recordkeeping
  • Strong communication and teamwork across multiple stakeholders

Responsibilities

Job description

Introduction

VRH Power are looking for a dynamic, and detail-driven Quality Officer to support renewable energy and construction projects. The ideal candidate is highly computer literate, administratively strong, and technically minded, with the confidence to engage, challenge, and collaborate across project teams, clients, and subcontractors.

This role is quality-focused, requiring strong knowledge of quality systems, documentation, method statements, and compliance, as well as the ability to manage strict submission timelines within complex onsite project development environments.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Quality Control Inspections:
    • Conduct routine inspections on civil, mechanical, and electrical construction activities.
    • Verify compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and approved drawings.
    • Monitor workmanship and material quality across all phases of construction.
  • Documentation & Recordkeeping:
    • Ensure completion and filing of Quality Control Check Sheets, Inspection Reports, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
    • Maintain up-to-date site quality files and logs including materials certifications, calibration records, and supplier data packs.
  • Non-Conformance Management:
    • Identify, report, and track non-conformities.
    • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.
    • Follow up to ensure timely closure of NCRs and improvement notices.
  • Coordination & Communication:
    • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure quality expectations are clearly communicated and maintained.
    • Participate in quality toolbox talks and promote awareness among site personnel.
  • Testing & Verification:
    • Ensure all required hold and witness points are observed as per the ITP.
    • Coordinate third-party and client inspections where required.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementation.
    • Contribute to lessons learned and feedback into future project quality planning.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
    • Work in collaboration with HSE teams to ensure integrated compliance.
    • Stop any activity that poses a risk to safety, quality, or the environment.
Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements:

  • N6 National Diploma - Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)
  • Quality Diploma
  • ISO9001 experience will be an advantage
