Job summary

SGS is seeking a Quality Management Intern to support packing operations through digital QMS adoption and continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting. The role provides hands-on exposure to quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and CAPA activities.

You will assist in testing, implementing, and training teams on quality systems, monitor KPIs, and contribute to documentation and reporting to drive operational efficiency in Randfontein.

Qualifications

• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) principles.
• Familiarity with CAPA programs and corrective actions.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements in manufacturing.

Overview

As a Quality Management Intern, I supported packing operations through the implementation and transition of digital Quality Management systems. This role provided hands‑on experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisted in transitioning, testing, and validating quality inspection forms within the Quality Inspection Program.
• Supported the implementation and maintenance of digital quality management systems.
• Trained operational teams on system usage, KPI monitoring, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and compliance reporting.
• Contributed to the implementation of a CAPA program for packing operations to enhance quality performance and operational efficiency.
• Participated in quality system documentation, data management, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Grade 12
Diploma or Degree Quality Management.
