Job summary

SGS is seeking a Quality Management Intern to support packing operations through digital QMS implementations and CAPA programs. This role offers hands‑on experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting.

You will assist in testing quality inspection forms, maintain digital systems, and train teams on KPIs, CAPA processes and compliance reporting, gaining practical QA experience.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate or current student pursuing quality management studies.
  • Exposure to QMS, CAPA, audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with digital quality tools and KPI reporting.
  • Willingness to learn and support cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in transitioning, testing and validating quality inspection forms.
  • Support digital quality management systems implementation and maintenance.

Overview

As a Quality Management Intern, I supported packing operations through the implementation and transition of digital Quality Management systems. This role provided hands‑on experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisted in transitioning, testing, and validating quality inspection forms within the Quality Inspection Program.
  • Supported the implementation and maintenance of digital quality management systems.
  • Trained operational teams on system usage, KPI monitoring, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and compliance reporting.
  • Contributed to the implementation of a CAPA program for packing operations to enhance quality performance and operational efficiency.
  • Participated in quality system documentation, data management, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Supported compliance activities through digital system management, monitoring, and reporting.

Grade 12
Diploma or Degree Quality Management.

Be a South African citizen (be able to produce a valid South African ID document)

-Be between the ages of 18-30

-Must be currently unemployed

-Must have no criminal record

-Must be willing to relocate to Randfontein
