Job summary

Guardian Recruiting (Pty) Ltd invites a quality professional to join a leading FMCG food manufacturer in Cape Town. You will maintain the QMS, conduct internal audits, and ensure compliance with FSSC 22000, HACCP, and ISO standards while driving continuous improvement.

You will manage quality documentation, investigate customer complaints, and support CAPAs. Strong analytical ability and communication skills are essential, with proficiency in C and R for data analysis.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in a quality management role within a food manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of FSSC 22000, HACCP, ISO management systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with internal auditing and document control.
• Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in C and R programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer the Quality Management System (QMS), including document control and version management.
• Coordinate and conduct internal GMP, hygiene, process, and systems audits.
• Ensure compliance with FSSC 22000, HACCP, ISO standards, and relevant food safety legislation.
• Manage quality documentation, policies, procedures, and records.
• Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor and report on quality KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with supplier quality assurance programmes and supplier audits.
• Support external certification and customer audits.
• Facilitate quality and food safety training across the organisation.
• Promote a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the company.
• Assist with quality-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
