PepsiCo in Malmesbury, Western Cape, is seeking a QA/QC professional to support quality and food safety systems on site. You will verify production sheets, perform QC checks, calibrate lab equipment and support training across departments.

The ideal candidate has a science qualification, 1–2 years in quality control, and is comfortable with shift work. Strong communication and computer skills are essential for the role.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or diploma in the science field.
• Good basic knowledge of Quality management and food safety management systems.
• Good computer literacy (MS Office).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• 1-2 years’ experience in quality control/ assurance position.
• Willing to work shifts.

Responsabilités

• Verify and sign-off production and quality sheets and ensure all non-conformances are reported.
• Conduct online QC checks in the mill and at packing lines.
• Conduct daily lab equipment verifications and calibrations.
• Assist with food safety awareness training to all departments.
• Assist with induction training to all employees.
• Assist with customer complaints investigation.
• Conduct daily GMP inspections and complete reports.
• Assist with sampling of water, ingredients and final product for testing and update laboratory results.
• Report food safety and quality non-conformances/deviations to the quality supervisor.
• Stand-in for FS meetings and participate in internal/external audits.
• Assist with the management of PRPs as per PRP programme.
• Complete COAs for customers.
• Assist with near-miss programme and IPM programme.
