A leading food manufacturing company in Cape Town seeks a Quality & Food Safety Lead to drive QA initiatives, uphold food safety systems, and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Candidate must have a BTech/BSc in Food Science or related field with 5–8 years’ experience in QA/FS in food manufacturing, HACCP/GMP training, and internal audit expertise. Travel and a valid driver’s licence required.

Qualifications

• BTech/BSc in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Quality Management or related qualification.
• 5–8 years’ experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety or Quality Control in food manufacturing.
• HACCP and GMP training is essential.
• Internal Audit training is essential.
• Strong working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, PRPs and food safety systems.
• Experience with internal auditing, traceability, pest control and customer complaints.
• Knowledge of SQA, cleaning and hygiene systems and food safety culture.
• Experience managing corrective actions and maintaining compliance documentation.
• Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and document control systems.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
