Job summary

Employ Global, on behalf of a leading multinational software engineering and technology hub, seeks an experienced QA/Test Engineer to shape the quality strategy across core platforms and CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and automate tests for microservices, drive functional and automated testing, and contribute to Agile ceremonies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science, software engineering or related technical field.
• ISTQB Foundation Certification (CTFL) or equivalent QA credential.
• 4–5+ years hands-on software QA/testing experience.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements to derive test strategy and test cases from planning to execution.
• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across core platforms.
• Execute, maintain, and enhance automated test suites.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and business analysts.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning and release activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements to derive test strategy and test cases from planning to execution.
• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing across core platforms.
• Execute, maintain, and enhance automated test suites.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and business analysts.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release activities.
• Validate requirements and acceptance criteria for testability.
• Support CI/CD pipeline testing and release validations.
• Analyse quality metrics and provide regular testing status reports.
• Contribute to quality standards, testing best practices, and continuous process improvements.

Requirements (Must Have)

Education & Experience (Must meet at least one of the following criteria):

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• ISTQB Foundation Certification (CTFL) or an equivalent quality assurance credential.
• 4-5+ years of hands-on experience in a software QA/testing role.
• Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Test automation experience involving Microservices, Docker, and Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience integrating and automating test suites within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
