Job summary

Quantum Foods has a career opportunity for a Quality Controller at our Pretoria North feed milling plant. The role reports to the SHEQ Specialist and focuses on quality of raw materials and finished product during shifts.

Key duties include sampling, data capture, lab hygiene, and maintaining ISO 9001/14001/45001 compliance, with the expectation to work overtime and shifts when required.

Qualifications

• Matric required.
• 1–2 years relevant quality control experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime and shifts.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001/14001/45001 is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain laboratory ingredients and equipment.
• Sample raw materials and finished products as required.
• Quality analyse raw materials, work in progress and finished products.
• Analyse, capture data and record information.
• Apply laboratory hygiene and safety procedures.

Introduction

Quantum Foods has a career opportunity within its Nova Feeds Division for a Quality Controller to join their dynamic team. This position will be based at our Feed milling plant in Pretoria North and report directly to the SHEQ Specialist. This position will primarily be responsible for a shift in the Quality of raw materials and final product.

• Prepare and maintain laboratory ingredients and equipment.
• Sample raw materials and finished products if required.
• Quality Analyse raw materials, work in progress and finished products.
• Analyse, capture data and record information.
• Apply laboratory hygiene and safety procedures.
• Laboratory housekeeping.
• Comply to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Identify, record and communicate non-conforming products.
• Analyse CVAS if required.
• Prepare and store retention samples.
• Grading of Raw materials
• Matric
• 1-2 years relevant experience
• Must be able to work independently
• Efficient in the use of Microsoft office
• Willing to work overtime and work shifts
