Placements24 is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for our FMCG manufacturing client in East London. The role focuses on testing, inspection, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards throughout production.

The successful candidate will have a diploma or degree in a relevant science field, at least two years in QA/QC, and solid knowledge of ISO 9001 and GMP. Collaboration with operations and a commitment to accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of QA/QC experience in FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and GMP principles.
• Strong understanding of laboratory testing procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform QC tests and inspections on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products per procedures.
• Monitor production processes for GMP compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Accurately record and document test results, identify non-conformities, and initiate corrective actions.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.
• Collaborate with production to address quality issues and drive process improvements.
• Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required.

About the Role

This role is critical for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and consistency. You will conduct various tests and inspections throughout the production process, from raw materials to finished goods, identifying and resolving any quality deviations. Key Responsibilities
