Job summary

Boardroom Appointments in Sandton, South Africa seeks an experienced QA leader to drive testing across multiple squads.

You will design test strategies, mentor teams, implement automation, and collaborate with development and business stakeholders to ensure quality in every release.

Experience with TDD/BDD, continuous delivery, and NFT performance testing is valued.

Qualifications

• BSc IT or BCom IT or equivalent qualification.
• ISTQB Agile foundations certification; advanced preferred.
• Experience in test strategy design and planning.
• 4 years management experience.
• Mentoring SQE and squad members.
• Bootcamp training in Agile and DevOps.
• Strong test analysis and design.
• Experience with TDD and BDD is advantageous.
• Exposure to continuous delivery and NFT testing.

Responsibilities

• Works across multiple teams to plan, execute, report QA activities for new development cycles.
• Contributes to Agile user story review meetings with stakeholders and developers to understand new or modified functionality.
• Designs end-to-end test scenarios and defines corrective actions.
• Performs risk analysis and documents test progress and results.
• Performs thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Reviews requirements and design documents to provide feedback.
• Creates detailed test plans and test cases.
• Designs, develops, codes, and executes automation scripts.
• Tracks bugs and enhances testing processes to meet client needs.
• Develops standards to determine product quality and release readiness.
• Preference for Java and OOP; SOAP/RESTFUL services.
• Uses testing tools like Selenium, Appium, RestAssured, Karate, Jira, JMeter.
• Service virtualisation and data virtualisation advantageous.

• Creates detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

• Works across multiple teams to identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs anddevelop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
• Develops standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness.
• Development languages, preference to Java.
• Object orientated programming (OOP).
• SOAP and RESTFUL services.
