Zeebra Junction, a luxury safari operation in Waterberg, Limpopo, seeks a hands-on Electrician to join its remote maintenance team. You will perform preventative and reactive electrical maintenance, diagnose faults, and update records to ensure guest-facing facilities run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Formally qualified Electrician / Electrical Artisan essential.
• Proven practical experience in electrical maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
• Good understanding of preventative maintenance principles.
• Able to work independently within a maintenance team.

Luxury Safari & Remote Hospitality Operation | Waterberg, Limpopo

Our client is a prestigious luxury safari operation situated within a private game‑reserve environment in the Waterberg region of Limpopo. The operation incorporates luxury guest accommodation, hospitality facilities and extensive supporting infrastructure, creating an exciting opportunity for a formally qualified Electrician to join its maintenance team.

We are seeking a hands‑on, technically competent and reliable Electrician who takes pride in maintaining high standards and who is comfortable working in a remote hospitality environment.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager , the successful candidate will form an integral part of the maintenance support team, ensuring that all electrical systems, equipment and installations are maintained safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

This is a practical, hands‑on position suited to an electrician who enjoys variety, problem‑solving and working as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the property.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently and safely.
• Maintain electrical distribution boards, wiring, lighting and associated systems.
• Attend to electrical breakdowns and maintenance requests throughout the operation.
• Conduct routine inspections and identify potential electrical faults before they become operational problems.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and infrastructure.
• Ensure electrical work complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.
• Assist with maintenance projects, refurbishments and new installations where required.
• Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and other maintenance team members.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and faults identified.
• Ensure tools, equipment and electrical work areas are kept clean, safe and well maintained.
• Support the broader maintenance team with general technical and operational requirements when necessary.
• Respond professionally and efficiently to urgent maintenance requirements.
• Contribute towards maintaining an exceptional standard of guest‑facing facilities and back‑of‑house infrastructure.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Formally qualified Electrician / Electrical Artisan – essential.
• Recognised electrical trade qualification.
• Appropriate electrical certification and registration where applicable.
• Proven practical experience in electrical maintenance.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving ability.
• Sound knowledge of electrical systems, installations, maintenance and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
• Good understanding of preventative maintenance principles.
• Able to work independently while also functioning effectively within a maintenance team.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a remote, outdoor and operational environment.
• A valid driver's licence would be advantageous.
• Previous experience within a luxury lodge, hotel, resort, game reserve, agricultural, industrial or remote‑site environment will be highly advantageous.
