Responsibilities

• Coordinate environmental sampling and testing and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Review and approve batch documentation and ensure staff are trained on SOPs.
• Ensure GMP compliance, data integrity and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

The QC Team Leader oversees daily laboratory activities, ensuring that testing, equipment maintenance and environmental monitoring comply with GMP, SOPs and quality standards. The role also involves managing team performance, investigating quality issues, ensuring staff training and driving continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities

Planning and Team Management

Plan daily activities, set priorities and allocate resources. Guide employees and monitor performance against targets. Manage section budgets and resources. Provide daily oversight of production processes, ensuring compliance and timely closure of QSMR items.

QC Laboratory Testing

Ensure testing is completed according to approved methods, SOPs and specifications. Oversee sample preparation and laboratory activities. Investigate and report out-of-specification (OOS) results. Ensure Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).

Environmental Monitoring

Coordinate environmental sampling and testing according to approved schedules. Ensure results are recorded and reported accurately.

Quality Systems and Training

Review and approve batch documentation and corrections. Ensure employees are trained on relevant SOPs. Investigate deviations and coordinate corrective actions. Identify risks and implement improvements to prevent recurring issues.

Governance and Compliance

Ensure compliance with GMP, legislation, policies and procedures. Support quality risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.

Job Requirements
