Shoprite Group of Companies invites applications for a QA Technologist within Enterprise Food Governance in Brackenfell, Cape Town. You will safeguard product quality, food safety, and compliance across the group, handling supplier management, site assessments, and audit programs.

You will maintain accurate records in the EFG system, collaborate with Regulatory & Compliance, and assist with recalls and investigations as needed. A relevant degree and several years in QA are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a similar QA role, including food production and specifications.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Strong understanding of food safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsabilités

• Manage supplier relationships and monitor adherence to safety requirements.
• Conduct supplier and site inspections for food safety approval.
• Maintain supplier and site records in the EFG system and verify certificates.
• Investigate quality issues and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate audits of supplier finished goods at DCs and resolve non-conformances.
• Support product recalls and respond to quality/safety queries from stores and suppliers.
