Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Software QA Engineer to join their team in Soweto. You will design test cases, execute tests, and report defects to uphold high software quality, collaborating closely with developers and product managers.

The role involves developing test plans for web and mobile apps, performing various testing types, and potentially automating tests to boost coverage within a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

2+ years of software quality assurance or testing experience.
Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test management tools.
Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
Basic knowledge of scripting or automation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems.
Collaborate with developers to understand requirements and troubleshoot issues.
Improve QA processes and methodologies.
Automate test cases where appropriate to increase efficiency and coverage.
