Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous QA Tester to join a software development team in Queenstown. The role focuses on ensuring quality through designing, executing, and documenting test plans for web and mobile apps.

You will work closely with developers and product managers to deliver reliable software. Required: a bachelor’s in CS/engineering or equivalent, 2+ years QA experience, test case design, Jira experience, and understanding of SDLC and Agile.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
2+ years of software QA/testing experience.
Ability to design and execute test cases and scripts.
Experience with Jira or similar bug tracking tools.
Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Identify, document, and track defects using bug trackers like Jira.
Collaborate with developers to verify bug fixes.
Contribute to QA process improvements.
Verify software meets functional and non-functional requirements before release.
