Job summary

Absa Ins & Fin Advise(Pty is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design and implement automated tests across front-end, back-end, and integration layers. The role covers run and change contexts with emphasis on achieving quantifiable test coverage and reliable quality metrics.

You will actively participate in daily Scrum, collaborate with product engineers, and help shape testing frameworks and best practices across squads. A Bachelor’s in IT is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Experience as QA automation specialist engineer in SDLC.
• Experience in Scrum and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full solution development lifecycle as QA automation specialist.
• Contribute to daily Scrum and project planning.
• Analyse and capture automation requirements from specifications.
• Prepare QA & automation testing documentation (planning, design, execution).
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using various technologies.
• Perform regression, integration, and performance testing as needed.
• Report results, metrics, and provide improvement recommendations.
