Job summary

Absa Bank in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design automation testing plans and develop automation scripts for multiple products/services, covering run & change contexts and various testing types across front-end, back-end, and integration layers. You will actively participate in daily Scrum, contribute to test documentation, and drive metrics on testing outcomes.

A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology is required; knowledge of SQL scripts and testing

Qualifications

Proactively contribute and participate in the full solution development lifecycle as a QA automation specialist engineer.
Participate in daily Scrum and project planning meetings.
Participate and analyze test automation requirements during requirements analysis phase of product development.
Prepare QA and Automation testing documentation (planning, design, execution and sustainability).
Develop automation test plans.
Develop and execute automated test scripts using various technologies (SQL scripts etc.).
Perform regression, integration, black box, scalability testing.
Evaluate automated test cases and report results.
Facilitate test plan / case reviews within squads.
