Job summary

Pump and Abrasion Technologies is seeking a RECONS ASSISTANT to support factory production on a team. You will follow diagrams and instructions to complete tasks, monitor production, and ensure safety guidelines are met.

Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, performing inspections, maintaining records, and reporting issues to the Line Manager. A forklift license and teamwork are essential for meeting targets and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a Manufacturing environment.
• Safe and efficient operations.
• Material knowledge required for processing.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
• Must have a valid forklift license.
• Must be able to assemble and disassemble a slurry pump.
• Integrity and good interpersonal skills.
• Matric certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Work from diagrams and instructions to complete allotted tasks.
• Factory production in accordance with prescribed specifications.
• Operate equipment safely and in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Wear PPE and process batch orders as instructed.
• Monitor work, perform testing/checking, identify problems.
• Fix minor issues and report unresolved problems to Line Manager.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of your work.
• Carry out planned tasks within contract requirements and time limits.
• Ensure compliance to quality standards and health/safety policies.

RECONS ASSISTANT

To work as part of a team providing support to factory production, performing allocated tasks to meet prescribed targets, criteria and deadlines.

Duties and responsibilities, but NOT LIMITED TO:

• Able to work from diagrams and instructions to complete allotted tasks
• Factory production, in accordance with prescribed specifications of insert as applicable
• Undertake tasks as instructed and operate appropriate equipment safely and in accordance with all instructions and guidelines, including health and safety
• Wear any Personal Protective Equipment supplied as instructed process batch orders
• Generally monitor the work and work practices being undertaken and completed and undertake required testing and checking to identify problems
• Fix minor issues, as appropriate, that may arise
• Immediately notify Line Manager when issues occur that cannot be resolved by you
• Ensure that continuous factory production is maintained wherever possible undertake required equipment inspection, maintenance and cleaning in accordance with instructions
• Maintain accurate computer data/records/documentation associated with your work
• Carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract requirements
• Carry out tasks within prescribed time limits
• Ensure compliance to quality standards, policies and procedures, codes and legislation including health and safety
• Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Line Manager
• Contribute towards the efficient running of the team
• Responsibly use resources and control expenses to meet budgetary controls
• Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
• From time to time you may be expected to be part of special projects as are reasonably required of your job role.

You are responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with your Line Manager. You must contribute towards the smooth running of the organisation generally.
