Placements24 seeks an experienced Public Health Program Manager to oversee Vereeniging-based health initiatives. You will lead program design, staffing, budgeting, and partnerships with local authorities and NGOs to improve community health outcomes.

The role requires a Master’s in Public Health, at least five years of program management experience, and strong skills in monitoring, evaluation, and fundraising. Travel within Gauteng is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) or diploma in a related field.
• Experience leading public health programs with non-profit or community focus.
• Strong grant writing, budgeting and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage public health programs in Vereeniging, Gauteng.
• Oversee program staff including educators, community health workers, and admin support.
• Build partnerships with local health departments, hospitals, clinics and NGOs.
• Prepare and manage program budgets with accountability and resource allocation.
• Lead grant writing and fundraising to secure sustainable funding.
• Design monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track progress and impact.
• Produce regular reports and data analyses for donors and leadership.
• Ensure activities align with national public health priorities and organizational goals.
• Conduct community health needs assessments and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Represent the organization at community forums, conferences and stakeholder meetings.
