About the Role

Our client, a prominent industry association, is actively seeking a highly experienced Public Affairs Specialist to join their team. This critical position is fully remote, allowing the successful candidate to contribute significantly from anywhere in South Africa. The Public Affairs Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to advocate for the association's interests, engage with policymakers, and shape public opinion. This role demands a deep understanding of government relations, legislative processes, and stakeholder engagement within the **KwaZulu-Natal** region and nationally. You will be the voice of the association, building relationships with key stakeholders, government officials, and the media to advance policy objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement public affairs and government relations strategies.

Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with high-level stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Experience working remotely or managing distributed teams is advantageous.
• Ability to travel occasionally if required.
