Placements24 seeks a diligent Property Law Associate to join its Randburg-based real estate practice in a hybrid role blending office presence with remote work. You will handle diverse property transactions, provide expert counsel on conveyancing, leases, and disputes, and contribute to a client-centric law firm known for integrity.

The ideal candidate holds an LLB, is admitted as Conveyancer and Notary Public, and brings 4+ years in property law with strong negotiation and client-management

Qualifications

• LLB degree or equivalent required.
• Admitted Conveyancer and Notary Public.
• Minimum 4 years in property law and conveyancing.
• In-depth knowledge of SA property law (Deeds Registries Act, Sectional Titles Act).
• Strong negotiation and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of property transactions including drafting and registering deeds of transfer, bonds, and notarial documents.
• Advise clients on sale agreements, sectional title schemes, and estate developments.
• Review and negotiate commercial and residential lease agreements.
• Conduct thorough due diligence investigations on properties.
• Represent clients in property-related disputes and litigation.
• Provide legal opinions on complex property law issues.
• Liaise with estate agents, developers, financial institutions, and local authorities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant property laws and regulations.
• Manage a caseload of property transactions efficiently and effectively.
• Stay updated on developments in property law and conveyancing practices.
