Job summary

Hire Resolve seeks an autonomous Property Accountant in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) to own the end-to-end finance function for property and holding entities. This standalone role covers accounting to trial balance, tax submissions, and migrating from Sage Pastel Partner to Zoho.

Reporting to management, you will handle leases, treasury activity, VAT, provisional tax, and annual tax returns, with audit file preparation for sign-off. A BCom or Diploma and SAIPA/CIMA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completed accounting qualification (BCom degree or national diploma) is required.
• Experience in property sector accounting (commercial letting, rental, or managing agent).
• Hands-on VAT, provisional tax, and corporate tax return experience to SARS.
• Experience with Zoho and Sage Pastel Partner, with system migrations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily property accounting and trial balance.
• Perform treasury and loan account reconciliations monthly.
• Lead system migration from Sage Pastel Partner to Zoho.
• Prepare VAT, provisional tax, and corporate tax returns for SARS.
• Prepare annual audit files and liaise with external auditors.
• Oversee property lease contracts, rental administration, and monthly reporting.
