Job summary

Hire Resolve's client in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Projects Manager to lead capital projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery within budget and schedule while meeting quality standards.

You will manage budgets, oversee contractors and stakeholders, drive SHEQ compliance, and optimise plant efficiency. A National Diploma in Engineering and PM certification are preferred, with at least 5 years in heavy industry project management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager in heavy industry.
• Grade 12 and National Diploma in Engineering required.
• Valid Driver's License; PM certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and submit project budgets based on projects scoped.
• Follow the capital stage-gate process from concept to close-out.
• Manage contractors and stakeholders to deliver safe, timely projects.
• Ensure technical solutions support plant efficiency and productivity.

Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Projects Manager to join their mining company based in Gauteng. You will be responsible for managing capital projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, within approved budgets and schedules, and in line with required quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish and submit project budgets based on projects scoped and costed according to user requirements.
• Ensure all assigned projects follow the capital stage-gate process, from concept and initiation through feasibility, final design, execution, handover and project close-out.
• Manage contractors and other affected stakeholders to deliver safe, timely and efficient project solutions.
• Ensure technical solutions support targeted plant efficiency and productivity.
• Provide technical solutions that consider maintenance requirements and facilitate effective repairs and maintenance.
• Identify and recommend improvements to systems and processes to increase throughput, reduce utility consumption and minimise maintenance effort.
• Manage SHEQ requirements to protect equipment, machinery, people and products from risks and harm.
• Identify hazards promptly and conduct risk assessments for proposed solutions.
• Manage contractors in line with applicable SHEQ standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• National Diploma in Engineering
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager within a heavy industry environment
• Project Management Professional certification or other advanced management certification would be advantageous
• Minimum 2 years' experience in the operation or supervision of machinery in a heavy industry environment
• Valid Driver's License
