Job summary

Aurex Constructors is seeking an experienced Project Manager - Renewables to lead the successful delivery of renewable energy projects across Southern Africa. You will oversee projects from initiation to commissioning, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8–10 years’ experience in renewables/EPC/construction, with proven expertise in Solar PV, Wind, and/or BESS projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years' project management experience in renewable energy, EPC, construction, or infrastructure.
• Experience delivering Solar PV, Wind, and/or Battery Energy Storage Systems projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out of renewable energy projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and reporting.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, contractors, consultants, and clients.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, quality, and HSE requirements.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Support procurement, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Drive project performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

EDUCATION & SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years' project management experience within the renewable energy, EPC, construction, or infrastructure sector.
• Proven experience delivering: Solar PV projects, Wind Energy projects and/or BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) projects.
• Strong contract management and commercial awareness.
• Sound understanding of project controls, scheduling, and risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
