Job summary

Calibrate People in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-impact financial services and technology initiatives. You will drive change, align business and IT, and guide cross-functional teams through complex programs.

This role requires 5+ years of delivery leadership, strong stakeholder communication, and proficiency with MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence. A bachelor’s degree and postgraduate certification are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required with strong preference for a postgraduate qualification (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certs).
• 5+ years of experience leading high-stakes projects in financial services & technology.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformative projects and manage scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate risks; provide updates to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with finance and business teams for high-level analysis to enable project work.
• Translate business needs into actionable plans for executives, teams, and clients.
• Partner with IT to ensure solutions work in practice, not just on paper.
• Drive risk management and issue resolution to keep projects on track.

• Bonus points if you have a background of relevant data analytics,software and / or programming skills with tools such as SQL,SAS, Python.
