iOCO invites applications for an organized, results-driven Project Manager to lead successful delivery and align teams around shared goals in Pretoria. You will coordinate stakeholders, drive momentum, and ensure projects stay within scope, timelines, quality, and business outcomes.

Your role involves managing plans, risks, dependencies, and communications across clients, consultants, and delivery teams, while supporting UAT, training, and release activities.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 is required.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience in project management, business, information systems, HR, payroll, commerce or technology.
  • Postgraduate qualification is preferred.
  • Project management certification (e.g., Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, PMP, PMBOK) or equivalent training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain project plans, schedules, action logs, status reports and delivery trackers.
  • Coordinate delivery through implementation teams and across clients, business users, consultants, analysts, developers, testers and support teams.
  • Monitor scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues and decisions, and elevate concerns timeously.
  • Facilitate project meetings, progress updates, planning sessions and delivery checkpoints.
  • Support requirements, configuration, testing, UAT, training, release readiness and implementation activities.
  • Manage project communication so stakeholders understand progress, priorities, risks and required actions.
  • Track deliverables, follow up on actions and ensure project documentation is accurate and current.
  • Assist with change requests, impact assessments, prioritisation and handover activities.
  • Promote practical, client-focused delivery aligned to governance, security and quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery practices, templates, reporting and stakeholder experience.

Job description

We are seeking an organised, results-driven, and client-focused Project Manager to lead successful project delivery and bring teams together around shared goals. You’ll play a key role in coordinating stakeholders, driving delivery momentum, and ensuring projects remain focused on scope, timelines, quality, and business outcomes.

What you'll do:
  • Prepare and maintain project plans, schedules, action logs, status reports and delivery trackers.

Your Expertise:
  • 8+years of project management experience, preferably in software, HR technology, payroll systems, ERP, HCM or related environments.
  • Experience managing project plans, actions, risks, issues, dependencies, scope changes and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience supporting software implementation, enhancements, testing, UAT, releases and client handovers.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS processes, employee lifecycle data, leave, payroll inputs, reporting, integrations or statutory requirements is advantageous.
  • Experience using project management, collaboration, issue tracking or reporting tools.
  • Experience working with cross-functional delivery teams and external client stakeholders.
  • Experience in change management and stakeholder communication
Qualifications:
  • Qualification Essential
    • Grade 12
    • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience in project management, business, information systems, HR, payroll, commerce or technology.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Postgraduate qualification
    • Project management certification or training such as Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, PMP, PMBOK or equivalent.
    • Additional training in software delivery, HR/payroll systems, change management or business analysis is advantageous.
