About the Role

Our client, a leading innovator in agricultural technology, is seeking a proactive Project Manager to drive the development and implementation of new solutions in Mahikeng, North West. This role operates under a hybrid model, allowing for flexibility between remote work and essential on-site collaboration with research teams, farmers, and agricultural stakeholders in the North West region. You will manage projects focused on smart farming techniques, crop management systems, agricultural data analytics, and sustainable farming practices. The ideal candidate will possess a background in agriculture, technology, or a related field, combined with strong project management skills and a passion for modernizing the agricultural sector. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of agricultural technology and innovation projects.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring project milestones are met.
• Coordinate project activities with internal R&D teams, external technology partners, and farming communities.
• Identify and assess project risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Ensure the successful integration and adoption of new technologies and practices on farms.
• Facilitate clear communication among all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
• Oversee the procurement of necessary equipment, software, and services for project implementation.
• Conduct pilot testing and field trials for new agricultural technologies and innovations.
• Evaluate project outcomes and impact, documenting findings and recommendations for future development.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in agricultural technology and sustainable farming.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with a focus on agricultural technology, precision farming, or innovation projects.
• Proven track record of managing technology-driven projects from conception to completion.
• Strong understanding of agricultural practices, crop science, and the challenges faced by modern farmers.
• Familiarity with data analytics, IoT in agriculture, and smart farming technologies is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
