Job summary

Greys Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead electrical engineering and construction projects in South Africa. You will drive delivery from planning to handover, ensuring technical compliance and on-time completion.

The role requires managing contractors, suppliers and site teams, developing programmes and budgets, tracking costs, and reporting progress and risks to stakeholders. British or EU passport holders are preferred, and relevant electrical engineering

Qualifications

• UK or EU passport requirement.
• Proven experience in project management within electrical engineering, electrical contracting, construction or M7E environments.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations, drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
• Experience managing projects, contractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Good understanding of project planning, budgeting, scheduling and cost control.
• Relevant electrical engineering qualifications.
• Project management qualifications such as PMP or Prince2 or equivalent advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical projects from initial planning through to completion and handover.
• Coordinate project activities, schedules, resources, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
• Develop and maintain project programs, budgets and project documentation.
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality and delivery against agreed targets.
• Work closely with engineers, site teams, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, technical documentation and project requirements.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues and changes.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates and other documentation as required.
