Job summary

Cognia Law is seeking a capable business-facing project manager to help grow the Project Management Office and deliver value through process design and training.

You will manage end-to-end legal projects, work with international law firms and corporate clients, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and clarity in delivery.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification is required in Commerce or Management studies, Information Systems or LLB.
• 4+ years’ experience as a business-facing project manager in legal/services sectors.
• Ability to handle ambiguity and a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end project management of legal projects from setup to completion.
• Work with Cognia's Delivery team to understand client challenges and define innovative solutions.
• Manage budget, scheduling, team productivity, risks, issues and changes; produce project reports and training materials.

Job Responsibilities

• End-to-end project management of legal projects: from project set-up, through execution to successful completion.
• Working as part of Cognia's Delivery team to understand our client’s challenges and requirements and help define practical and innovative solutions.
• Core responsibilities include: budget control, scheduling and planning, managing team productivity and quality, proactively managing risks, issues and changes, project reporting, team briefing and training (material creation and execution), stakeholder management, lessons learned and close-out activities.
• Support BD activities such as project scope, identifying requirements and drafting solutions documentation.
